Apoc-Zen Project: Horology (better late than never)

Apocryphal Zenzizenzizenzic is an old Latin phrase referring to someone who has the uncanny ability to define obscure words with pinpoint accuracy.

NOT!
(read about the project and accompanying contest)

*I'm noticing word trends as of late, so I'm going to try to break that before you guys come at me with a psychological evaluation :-P*

Day 8: Horology: the study of less than mediocre movies, often referred to as "B Movies". While these films can encompass multiple genres, Horology focuses more on Horror than any other.

The Horologist celebrates when these movies cross over from low-budget/bad acting/ridiculous plot lines into the land of CULT CLASSICS (it happens); while others find new homes on the Sci-Fi Channel  :-/.

Most go straight to DVD.

I'm no Horologist, but I'm still trying to talk the Hubby into watching Sharktopus--simply because the cover is RAD, and it graces the new release shelf at our local video rental.

We'll you've got my definition. What's yours (leave it in the comments for your chance to win)?

  1. The girls you see at a bar? Those who clearly aren't there just to drink (amateurs!)? Those who dress, or should I say hardly dress in handkerchiefs safety-pinned in all the right places? You think they're sluts or bimbos, but they're actually horologists. They get into character to better study the lifestyle.

Allison - I think the back story is a given at this point. I do, however, think it should be revisited on "Z" :-)

Okay, horology is the study of horoscopes without the use of telescopes, hence, no star charts are used.
