Apoc-Zen Project: Tawpie

Apocryphal Zenzizenzizenzic is an old Latin phrase referring to someone who has the uncanny ability to define obscure words with pinpoint accuracy.

NOT!
(read about the project and accompanying contest)

Day 20:  Tawpie: A dessert that has been physically altered to adhere to specific challenge guidelines.

Take for instance the seasonal favorite, Peeps.

We are currently running a challenge (on ATTACK of the Foodies!!!) to incorporate this often misunderstood marshmallowy friend.

Peep Show *gasp*

So, if you're not doing anything (or if you are BUT want to be a part of something so magical and wonderful--it will surely be a catalyst for world peace), come submit your photos, and get a fancy badge -- IMPRESS ALL YOUR FRIENDS.

Check out some of the treasures I found online:

Peep Sushi

Peep Marital Bliss

Peep Sunflowers... awe

Hell yes! Peep S'mores

Kemari, Sam, and I are posting our contributions tomorrow. I will be posting many more photos on our Facebook page. Reader photos will be voted on, and bragging rights will be shared by all.

We'll you've got my definition (sort of). What's yours? (leave it in the comments for your chance to win)

  1. Sushi peeps?? The s'mores look good though. Never thought of that.

It's a pie made from taw, of course. What's a taw, I hear you ask?
To convert (skin) into white leather by mineral tanning, as with alum and salt.

Remember, you picked the word, not me. ;)

  3. Tawpie is the interjection used by Tweety bird , the little yellow cartoon character who is famous for saying :"I tawt I taw , I tawt I taw a puddy tat ." (remember him ?)
He gets excited and shouts Tawpie! Tawpie! whenever he sees his favourite food , a homemade pie .

  5. When challenging Argus Panoptes (From Greek mythology - the man with many eyes,) make sure that you do not show fear. Do this by always staring directly at the tawpie.

  6. YES, the sushi peeps look AWESOME and why the hell did I get married without a Peeps wedding cake? What was I THINKING?
Obviously I was thinking tawdry tawpie thoughts - it's, um, what goes on in teepees on native American wedding nights.
Oh yah, baby.. you don't need peeps with tawpie going on... although you do have to make sure the tent flap is closed and there aren't any peeps peeping.
